She fled Somalia as a child due to the civil war, and lived as a refugee in Sweden. She trained as an archaeologist and driven by an urge to discover, document and preserve her cultural heritage she has already revealed a dozen sites that could be candidates for UNESCO world heritage status. At the TEDxEuston 2103, Sada Mire took us on her journey from teaching Nordic history to Scandinavian kids to discovering the wealth of her Somali heritage.
